Rod Coil Line

What is a Rod Coil line?

A Rod Coil Line unspools rod coils. Material is pulled into the machine by a set of dies clamping onto the rod. Then a series of dies “breaks" the memory of the coil. The material memory is then reset to produce a straightened round bar product. The bar is sent through a cleaning box getting the material ready-to-weld. A bar shear then cuts the material to length and a table stacks the material for banding.

Cut to length tolerance based off thickness:

  • Up to 5/16" tolerance of +3/4" – 0
  • 3/8" to 5/8" tolerance of +1/4" --0
